Paper Quilling Poetry (Maste Meye Eshgh)

The Paper Quilling Poetry (Maste Meye Eshgh) frame is 23 cm x 23 cm.

The text in the frame is a hemistich of a Persian poem by Fakhr al-Din Iraqi. It’s translation is something like this: “I am drunk with love, I will not sober up”.

Fakhr al-Din Iraqi (also spelled Araqi) was a Persian Sufi poet of the 13th-century. He is principally known for his mixed prose and poetry work, the Lama’at (“Divine flashes”), as well as his divan (collection of short poems), most of which were written in the form of a ghazal.
